VITAFEST, Vitacura International Short Film Festival is a festival dedicated to national and international short films and a meeting point for diverse agents of the Chilean audiovisual industry.
Now in its sixth edition, VITAFEST has established itself as one of the main platforms for the short film format in Latin America, a meeting point for the various agents of the local audiovisual industry and an official showcase for the new local talented filmmakers.
Descubierto Film Festival emerges as a meeting place between spectators and audiovisual creators of the fantasy genre.
The competitive selection of short films will be interested in bringing together works with fantasy themes with risky visual languages and innovative proposals. On the other hand, there will be a regional film show where the filmography of local authors will be exhibited. In this way, we seek to be a window for stories told from different perspectives.
Additionally, the Festival will organize parallel activities aimed at complementing the cultural programming.

The North Film Festival (TNFF) – Now LIVE in Barcelona!

IMDb-qualifying | In-person screenings | Barcelona, Spain
Born in Sweden in 2020, The North Film Festival (TNFF) was created with one goal in mind: to celebrate bold, independent cinema from around the world — and to connect the hearts of filmmakers and film lovers across borders.
Over the last four amazing years, TNFF has grown into a dynamic platform with both online and live editions, proudly supporting Swedish filmmakers while welcoming international voices. Our deep belief in the power of this project even led us to expand — giving birth to our sister festival, The North Film Festival – New York City, which has since become a huge success in the U.S.
But as many of you know, sustaining an in-person festival without consistent local funding in Sweden has been a challenge. So, while it was not an easy decision, we are making an exciting leap forward:
The North Film Festival is officially moving to Barcelona, Spain — and it’s going LIVE.
Thanks to new funding opportunities and a strong cultural partnership in Barcelona, the festival will now take place in one of Europe’s most creative and cinematic cities. Barcelona is a city that breathes film, art, and storytelling — and it's the perfect new home for the next chapter of TNFF.

As every year, all the students from all over the world (from Primary to University) can register their short films totally free, which will be displayed in Montevideo from September 8th to 14th.
FENACIES is an organization founded in 2011 that started with the aim of creating a cinema festival specifically to youth, where competition would be fair and creativity and effort of these would be valued.
At first, the festival was avowed of cultural interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture, educational interest by the Primary Education Council, and tourist interest by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport. Furthermore, in 2015 UNESCO declared it of educational and cultural interest.
The main aim of the festival is to strengthen the audiovisual education between the youngest, and through the short films realization they can express their ideas so that then they can see reflected on the big screen.
During the week, the short films that are selected will be shown in a public and state cinema. On September 14th will be announced the winners in the closing ceremony.

The Stars of the short film were created in Pau in 2007 by Vidéo Tout Tendance. They were then "transferred" in 2010 to Mourenx and then "died out".
With the agreement of the founding members Didier LABAN and Jean LASSUS-PIGAT, the city of Cabestany and Image In decided to continue the adventure by organizing since 2012, the Étoiles du court in the André ABET cinema hall.
This concept, unique in France, allows the best award-winning films to be presented at the biggest events (César, Clermont-Ferrand, etc.) and the various partner short film festivals.
In 1981, André ABET and the city of Cabestany decided to create the First Encounter Short Film Festival of Cabestany. It is truly a encounter, more than a festival, because everything is planned to promote exchange between audience and directors, like the numerous “verre de l’amitié” (friendship toasts), offered after each screening. Always a fun and friendly moment!
Animation, documentary, experimental, fiction, musical clip and report with a maximum length of 30 minutes and French subtitles can take part in this international event.
