Curta Roteiros – 1st Short Film Script Contest rewards unpublished screenplays written in Portuguese, created for independent cinema. Open to professional and amateur writers worldwide, as long as the script hasn't been produced, published, co-authored, or generated using AI.
Submissions are open from June 5 to July 5, 2025, via form (30 BRL) or Festhome (8 USD). Scripts must be PDF, max 30 pages, using Courier New 12, with a cover page including title, author or pseudonym.
Scripts will be judged on originality, structure, coherence, characters, writing quality, technical feasibility, and emotional/social impact. Finalists will be announced July 25, and winners on August 1 during the Curta Cine Sumaré Festival.
Winners receive digital certificates, laurels, and symbolic cash prizes (120, 50, and 30 BRL via PIX). Honorable mentions may also be awarded.

Curta Roteiros - Short Film Script Contest
The GIFF Incubator 2025, part of the Guanajuato International Film Festival, invites Mexican and international filmmakers with fiction or documentary feature film projects in development. Up to 20 projects will be selected for intensive mentorships during the festival (July 25–August 4). Participants will receive guidance on script, project dossier, pitch deck, financing, festivals, distribution, and marketing strategies.
The call is open from June 4 to June 25, 2025 (2:00 PM Mexico City time), free of charge. Travel, lodging, and food costs are covered by participants. A single PDF dossier must be submitted, including synopsis, treatment, visual references, current status, team bios, and optional materials like budgets or funding plans.

INCUBATOR - GIFF
La convocatoria al IDFA Forum 2025 está abierta desde el 2 de junio hasta el 25 de julio de 2025. El foro se celebra en noviembre en Ámsterdam, como parte del Festival IDFA. Se pueden presentar documentales creativos, en formato de largometraje, serie o proyecto inmersivo/interactivo, en una de cuatro categorías: Forum Pitch, Rough Cut Presentations, Producers Connection y DocLab Forum.
Los proyectos deben estar en desarrollo, producción o postproducción. Se requiere material audiovisual (teaser, clip o rough cut), sinopsis, plan de financiación y estrategia de producción. Si el proyecto es preseleccionado, se solicitará más documentación en agosto.
El IDFA Forum es una plataforma clave para conectar con financiadores, distribuidores y coproductores internacionales.

The 48th São Paulo International Film Festival presents the first edition of its Works-in-Progress (WIP) program, aimed at Brazilian feature films in advanced stages of postproduction. This program seeks to support the circulation of fiction, documentary, or animation projects, providing filmmakers with a platform to present their works to industry professionals such as distributors, festival programmers, and international sales agents.
Eligible projects are Brazilian feature films in final postproduction phases whose directors or producers are looking for finishing, distribution, and festival screening opportunities. The Ikusmira Berriak 2025 call seeks audiovisual projects in development that bring new perspectives and approaches to contemporary cinema. It is aimed at emerging filmmakers who wish to develop their projects in a professional and collaborative environment. Innovative and original proposals are especially valued, with no limitations on genre or theme. The program provides space, time, context, and resources for the development of the selected projects.
